2013 all-purpose golf thread

Tiger has played in five events this year. He has three wins (counting and assuming a victory at Bay Hill).
He had three wins all of last year.

 

Tiger never lost the ability to hit his mid and long irons; his driving was pretty bad but what he really lost was the wedge game and his putting.

His putting right now is the best in the game (1st in strokes gained in putting this week) and he's hitting those wedges close now whereas say 18 mos ago he was below average. That's the difference.

Augusta? You want to say he's the favorite but he's been the fav since '05 and hasn't won their since (amazingly he won their 4 times between '97 and '05, 50%). He's got the perfect game right now, driving is not that important, long off the tee for the par 5s, great putting and great short game.

 

The whorin' around, the standoffish demeanor, the a-hole caddy....all is forgiven Tiger.

Go back and watch the clip. He hits a 9-iron from 178. A gust if wind gets it. Wet. How is the tee shot the caddies fault?
The shot from the drop zone can go on the caddy if he gave him the wrong number.
