Did you bring your card verifying your inability to fill out a ballot because of a physical handicap?

    Couple things...

We've got to figure out a way to hashtag, file or otherwise mark POY candidates throughout the year. Perhaps with a %POY or a ^POY .... because I've spent the last 24 hours off-and-on going thru threads looking for POY. I've read just about everything Azreal and Double Down have posted in the past year, for example. I can't do this anymore! ;D

Secondly, since we are a journalism website, I think we need a Journalism-y category. "Best Pull" or some such. Boom tends to dominate this category, but poindexter "gathered his inner Sara Ganim" (his words) and made a pull so great that I've had to consider it for Post of the Year. I'm referring of course to digging up a freq post which claimed his wife bugged him for sex constantly after he went on Levitra-- followed by another post in which freq claimed the only reason he cheats on his wife is that she won't give him sex. Tip o' the cap to our man poin. He's not just about female teachers having sex with underage boys.

But those are things to consider for future years.

    My picks:

    All SJ:
    Dools
    Bubbler
    Ace
    Double Down
    Care Bear

Smartest: It's tough because we have so many smart folk. Gonna go with franticscribe for some exceptional posting in the legal realm.

    Funniest: Buck

    Master Debater: Norrin

    Best Canadian: typefitter

    Best Moderator: Moddy

    Best Feud: Piotr/shotty

    Best Troll: freq

    Best Newcomer: Amy

    Thread of the Year: Posnanski

Post of the Year: Need to explain. I love Jones. And Boom riles me. However, if Jones will allow himself to be teased a bit, and if we can laugh a bit at ourselves.... This, for me, was the funniest post of the year:

    Running joke/meme: "She's a 6."

    spnited Award: Starman
    SF_Express Award: Dangerously

I like this idea. Maybe POY13 for next year.

I feel like I had a Pujols-in-an-Angels-uniform kind of year. Solid, but not up to my usual standards. I was a tough out during the Penn State threads, but ultimate it was just a couple hot months. The media speculated I was really pressing during the Posnanski thread. It lacked the transcendent moments of previous seasons.

So the only box you're going to be near this holiday season is one you have to UNstuff? Is that right, Versatile?
