    WINNERS ANNOUNCED: http://www.sportsjournalists.com/forum/threads/94103/

    Hello, good people of SportsJournalists.com.

    We are here today to engage in a civic activity demonstrating pride in where and who we are as an SportsJournalists.com nation. We are here to vote.

    It's been four years since SportsJournalists.com had an awards voting, but we're not going to make up for lost time because no one has memories worth a damn anymore. So these awards are based on 2012. A few things you need to know before voting:

    VOTING CLOSED
    1. All votes must be sent by personal message to this account. No other votes will count.
    2. The DEADLINE for voting is Dec. 21 at 11:59 p.m. PT the morning of Dec. 22.
    3. Voters must have 100 posts, 50 in 2012.
    4. The only ways your vote will be revealed to any other poster are if you make it public or if you vote for yourself. You can vote for yourself, but do so knowing that single vote (and not your whole ballot) will be posted for all to see.
    5. If you fill out too many names, preference will be given to the first listed. If you vote for ineligible candidates, your vote will not count. There will be no warnings on either of these.
    6. The user names of all voters will be listed with the results.
    7. You may not change your votes, so think them over.

    Your votes are your prerogative. You can post them here if you'd like. You are not asked to answer to anyone, though. Fill out the ballot as you'd like. Here it is:

    ===============================
    All-SportsJournalists.com First Team: (pick five)

    Funniest Poster:
    Master Debater:
    Best Canadian:

    Best Newcomer: (registered in 2011 or 2012)
    Thread of the Year: (deleted threads are ineligible)
    Post of the Year: (must be a single post, so be specific; deleted posts are ineligible)
    Running Joke/Meme of the Year:

    And, finally, two lifetime achievement awards, to the posters who best represented the values of the namesakes ...

    The Ron "spnited" Drogo Memorial Award:
    The Craig "SF_Express" Stanke Memorial Award:
    ===============================

    Results should be posted before the new year. We're going to do Poster of the Year the same way Freelance Hack did it, with the five top vote-getters for the All-SportsJournalists.com Team in a poll.

    Thank you,

    Ballot Box, aka Versatile

    You do know that Bitter Young Dickhead has to be the first spnited winner, right?

    Sote, this is not one bonus week of Sheep giving you one more shot at that one point answer.

    I appreciate the thought but there are people who do represent the values of Craig/SF_Express. I am not one of them.

    To be clear and to dissuade anyone else from this kind gesture let me remind you of just some of the reasons my name should not even be whispered for this:

    I am not a journalist and know nothing about journalism. I write like a lawyer. I know nothing about sports. I have no hand-eye coordination. Craig was kind and patient and sentimental and loved people. I am mean, cynical and do not suffer fools gladly.

    Please, change your vote while you still have time.

    If you didn't suffer fools gladly, you wouldn't hang out here.
