    Baltimore-Oakland ALCS would be fun.

I think we'll have a Bay Area World Series -- minus the earthquake this time.

I like the A's a ton, especially if Brett Anderson is healthy.

For the national audience, Cespedes and Reddick are going to get a lot of the attention, but Brandon Moss is the one to watch. The counting stats (21 HR, 52 RBI) don't jump off the page, but he only had 296 PAs. He had OPS of .954 (about the same as Trout and Posey) and an HR every 14.1 PAs (better than Cabrera).

I'm jumping on the Moddy-Versatile Train. Would love to see a Nats-Birds World Series.

I agree, AQB. Best possible matchup.

O's have Saunders pitching tomorrow. Probably with a short leash. But he's had some good starts recently. These fuckers have defied all logic all year. Wouldn't surprise me if Saunders doesn't get out of the third, or goes 27 up and 27 down. Though if the later happens, I'll match him with a shot for an out.

Though and Ex-Senators-Nationals Series would be fun too.

Re: The O's starting Saunders, I believe it's more because of a lack of any other option. Steve Johnson is a much better pitcher, but probably only available for a couple innings because he's nursing an injury and had an MRI on Monday. The other options would be Chen (4.02 ERA) on short-rest, or asking 19-year-old phenom Dylan Bundy to make his first-ever Major League start after pitching twice in a month.

I would pick that. The guy would be an instant legend.

Can't TBS and MLB go best-of-three falls to see who gets custody of the Yankees and Nats so I don't have to f--k with readjusting my grids on Friday night?

    Coolest WS matchups would be:

    1) Reds/Yankees -- relive the '70s!
    2) Orioles/Nats -- a WTF series for the Beltway
    3) Yankees/Cards -- two most successful franchises of all time (based on titles)
    4) Nats/Rangers -- the second Washington team vs. the third
    5) Giants/A's -- kinda lame last time
    6) A's/Cardinals -- second and third most successful franchises of all time
    7) Braves/Rangers -- semi-lovable losers
    8) Tigers/Reds -- underrated I-75 series

I am not an Orioles fan. I think this whole thing is pretty great, though.
