2011 NCAA women thread ... better late than never?

    ND's win over Uconn was not historic - the streak was snapped already - it did not win a regular season or conference title - they were 0-3 in those games, it wasn't for a trip to the Final Four, which is really the only significanr step except for winning the whole thing - and it wasn't for the national title. So yes while ND did get the UConn monkey off its back the game has very little relevance or significance

    I will always remember it as the first time I laid eyes on Skylar Diggins.

    And ill add this - it was not a historic upset either seeing as ND has been the one team not named stanford who has consistently pushed UConn to the brink and they were ranked in the top 8 for most of the year

    Baylor lost to UConn by one in Connecticut.
