Loved Reilly's cover of it from back in the day:

Son of a bitch; The Wright Thompson piece is unbelievably good.

Great retrospective. CBS coverage hasn't changed in 30 years.

    Nor should it.

I would love it if McCord/Wright would get with the suits at Augusta. I know CBS won't at the threat of pissing them off, but if McCord and Wright each went and said "Hey.....what we said was stupid. It was over 20 years ago." Let bygones be bygones.

Wishful thinking I know..........am curious about what happened with Clampett.

And has continued to run flawlessly since then. Any other snark you guys who don't cover the tournament want to throw out?

Prediction will be someone will win their first major (Zack Johnson, Trevor Immelman, etc.). If I had to pick one player, I guess I'd go with Nick Watney.

Oh, it should. Nantz remains a noxious, smarmy presence.

    Kuchar's my pick this week.

Nah, I like it. The goofy music. No excessive graphics (noticed on ESPN yesterday no bottom line and ESPN logos everywhere during the Par-3 tournament). 56 minutes of tuuuuuuurnament coverage every hour. Yah, Nantz gets blitzed on here, but he and the rest of that crew do a pretty good job with it.

But it's more fun to complain. About everything. C'mon!!!

I honestly don't think Nantz is a BAD play by play guy, just a smaltzy, smarmy one. And there is always the mute button.
