    Another thing: From a lofty perch, you may be able to pick and choose your soft landing a little bit. Not that every small-paper editor or small business is just salivating after former big-timers. I'm sure that's not the case. But that resume with New York Times or Chicago Tribune or Wall Street Journal surely will raise an eyebrow that others won't.
