    I didn't watch it, but I've yet to read a review that doesn't make it sound like the worst thing ever to be shown on TV.

    Was it worse than Rob Lowe dancing with Snow White?

    Missed last night's apparent catastrophe, but shouldn't we be blaming the writers and producers? Hathaway was great both times she's hosted SNL, and Franco wasn't bad. We know they can do this stuff.

    Not to completely let James Franco and my fantasy wife off the hook, but the blame falls mostly on Bruce Vilanch. I think after people threw a little fit at the Golden Globes after Rickey Gervais' routine, they Academy wanted it safe and vanilla and lame this year.

    Bruce Vilanch, people. Offered without comment.

    Good point, DD. Maybe that explains Franco's demeanour. He realized early on that it was shit and not worth trying to save, so he pulled the chute.
