Anybody see Burke's embarassing end of the year press conference? He has become the biggest buffoon in the league. He would be a perfect fit in Long Island.

Saw some of it and the stubbornness with which he clings to the idea that he has done nothing wrong here is staggering. Threw Wilson - a coach he refused to fire until he had no choice - under the bus, saying he didn't like his teams as tough as Burke did, forgetting for a moment that Wilson could only coach the players he was given.

I got the vibe that either he didn't really agree with Tannenbaum's year-end apology or he got shit for them having to do it in the first place.

Saw a tweet where he mocked the Pittsburgh model by saying they won a goddamn lottery.

I'm as big of a Pens hater as there is, but that's total bullshit. It's not like Sidney Crosby is the only player on that team, as this year has proven.

A pubic apology? Is that for sticking it to the fans once again?

The third paragraph of that Leafs apology letter was absolutely hilarious.

"Ownership believes in the plan for the Maple Leafs."
Is this the plan Burke has put in place, because if it is, good luck with that.

"Passion, hard work and accountability will always be the hallmark of our organization."
Accountability? really, if you believed in accountability, you wouldn't still believed in the "plan" for the Maple Leafs. Accountability is about the last thing I think of when I think of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Top five lottery teams for the upcoming NHL Draft are:

    -Edmonton Oilers
    -Columbus Blue Jackets
    -Montreal Canadiens
    -New York Islanders
    -Toronto Maple Leafs

Three years in a row for the Oilers. Kind of BS in my opinion. But it is what it is.

    Where'd the Avalanche end up?

Avalanche got 11th. Which I'm sure you know it goes to the Capitals for Semyon Varlamov.

Apparently they don't have a first rounder. Here's the final list of Round One from TSN

    FINAL DRAFT ORDER
    PICK TEAM % OF WINNING
    1 Edmonton Oilers* 18.8
    2 Columbus Blue Jackets 25.0
    3 Montreal Canadiens 14.2
    4 New York Islanders 10.7
    5 Toronto Maple Leafs 8.1
    6 Anaheim Ducks 6.2
    7 Minnesota Wild 4.7
    8 Carolina Hurricanes 3.6
    9 Winnipeg Jets 2.7
    10 Tampa Bay Lightning 2.1
    11 Washington Capitals** 1.5
    12 Buffalo Sabres 1.1
    13 Dallas Stars 0.8
    14 Calgary Flames 0.5
    * Won the NHL lottery

** - Colorado traded its 2012 first-round pick to Washington (G Semyon Varlamov from Washington to Colorado for the Avalanche's 2012 first round pick and a second round pick in either 2012 or 2013).
