    Didn't they put up that big croquet hoop to mark the gateway to the West, as in west of the Mississippi?

    Youngblood was on the Mets and played a day game against the Cubs at Wrigley. He was traded to the Expos, who had a night game in Philly. He made it there in time and played in that game, too. Got hits in both games the same day.

    As a tyke, I actually remember seeing both of those games on TV. My dad was home from work and watching the Cubs-Mets game on WGN in the afternoon, then we watched Phillies-Expos on regional cable that night. I remember dad pointing it out and the announcers making a big deal of it.

    I saw the Expo end of it as a kid.
