Thanks for all the kind words. But truthfully, I enjoyed stepping in for slappy this year ... it's fun to write the stories, and once I figured out the iMac's spreadsheet program, tallying the votes wasn't too tough.

And Boom, I'm pretty sure the panel's love for Boise State, TCU and other BCS overachievers didn't hurt SportsJournalists.com's street cred too much.

I checked today and 12 of the teams in my preseason poll were on my last one. I did not have Auburn in the preseason top 25...shows ya what I know up here in the Great White North!
