So Lebron is going to play in Miami and make about $30 million less than Wade?

Every day ESPN says there is a new front-runner.

And concede the notion that he can lead a team to a title. Yep.

How is it even remotely the same?

Gotta go with JC on this one. Workers can not collude.

Collusion works down the mangement ladder, it does not work up the ladder.

Just ask Jack Morris, Carlton Fisk and a few others.

If they agree to take less to play together will the union get involved?

That is their rights as free agents.

A union by definition is an organized group of workers. This is just an organized group of three. Nothing wrong with this at all.

And everyone here is handing them the title. They would be the favorites, but I would still bet the field against them.

This is true, but Junkie there is no way there can be collusion whne 3 people who are free to wok anywhere they want decide to work together. The only people that should be pissed is the union for taking less money. Players are recruited by other players all the time. How would you legislate against 3 free agents deciding to play together?

    If it happens . . . . whatever.

We'll just have a 7-month preseason, and a best-of-7 season (Heat vs. Lakers in NBA Finals).

    Whoopee.

I'm not so sure that Wade/James/Bosh beats LA. Gasol will eat up Bosh. Kobe can handle Wade. You just need a defender on James and team defense, not another superstar. Who is going to check Odom and Bynum, Haslem? He's not big enough for Bynum. I'm not even sure they beat the Celtics with a healthy Perkins.

A "super" team can implode at the most inopportune times, see 2004 Lakers. You need team cohesion.

LeBron, Bosh and Wade all in Miami? No pressure, fellas.
