washington wears out a path to the mound in the 8th. is he always this way? yanks tie game 5-5 with 4 so far in the eighth, none out. it was 5-4 when he brought his their fourth pitcher of the inning. pitchers 3 and 4 threw a pitch apiece, rbi singles both.

can texas recover if they lose a 5-1 lead in the eighth of game 1 at home? sure would test their resiliency again....

fifth pitcher of inning in now, 5-5, first-and-third, none out.... thames up. that's it for my play by play....

Texas has three outs to beat the Yanks.

I would have Posada bunt here.

Why are they not pinch running for Thames?

If the Yankees and their bloated payroll win it all again, whose head explodes then?

A little bit of life in Jeter's bat these last two innings.

Kinsler getting picked off was awful.

Two ABs in mid-September decided this game.

Clay Rapada got Robinson Cano out in back-to-back games a month ago. Ron Washington added Cano to the roster tonight because of all the Yankees' lefties. Tonight, Cano kicked his ass. Which you might expect against a guy who pitched all of nine fucking innings in the bigs this year.

Did he break his bat on that hit?

Did he just bunt with two strikes?
