No, it's the wrong color for that.

I said whorishly with a Canadian accent, so it should be bright red, right?

Yep, I'm afraid HB's gonna have to update his pairings -- with Pittsburgh and Philly both winning and the Whalercanes losing today, two of the matchups in the Wales Conference (East, my ass) will be Flyers-Pens and Canes-Devils. (Philly's game vs. the Rangers on Sunday will determine whether they get home ice or it goes to Pittsburgh.)

I guess we shall see if the lessons Scott Stevens taught the Whalercanes all those years ago are still being put to good use. At the risk of being dismissive, the game today wasn't a backbreaker. Two bad bounces, Michael Leighton in goal ... salt away the rink notes in Newark and press forward.

Penguins are playing the Flyers (home ice to be determined Sunday), Devils are playing the Hurricanes.

Considering that though I don't follow hockey that closely. I know that pairings for the opening round are not yet set -- overheard our hockey geeks discussing the few things that could change on Sunday -- this thread is rather premature and totally useless.

Are you implying that you know more than our resident hockey expert?

    Oops.

I think the Pens will knock off my (partially) beloved Flyers. I think they're better than what their seed will be. They've been playing very well since the coaching change.
