Pretty interesting beginning of the playoffs.
Looks like six or seven series have some buzz.
Usually the 1-8 and/or 2-7 matchups are yawners.

They are 2 of the hottest teams coming into the playoffs, but I can see why people wouldn't be to jacked up about this series if there are not fans of one of these teams

Just a reminder that the draft lottery is on at 8:00 tonight--as in now.

Isles win lottery, will pick first. Bolts pick second, Avs third, Kings fourth.

A friend of mine was ready to buy his custom made John Tavares Islanders jersey weeks ago. I'm sure he followed through.

With any luck, the Isles will draft Tavares and he'll pull a Lindros and refuse to play there.

That and neither one will make it past the second round.

Depends who they play, if there is an upset of one of the top 2 seeds I think the Canucks would beat the Flames or Hawks. they have a shot against The Wings and none against San Jose. Having said all that it will be tough to get by the Blues.

    That will never happen.

    No love for Roberto Luongo?

It's probably been mentioned, but I also think it's amusing that the Sedin Twins each finished with 82 points, both in the top 15.

Brad Boyes has also developed into a good player, particularly on the PP.

With that said, I'd agree that it's easily the worst matchup of the first round. Not too excited for Devils-Canes either.

    Boston over Montreal in 5

Washington over New York in 5 (no matter what Maggie the Monkey thinks)

Carolina over New Jersey in 6

    Philadelphia over Pittsburgh in 6

San Jose over Anaheim in 6

    Detroit over Columbus in 5

Vancouver over St. Louis in 5

    Chicago over Calgary in 7

Flames-Blackhawks is, for me, the toughest series to call. Blackhawks have no playoff experience, but Flames staggered down the stretch and have a lot of people hurting. Olli Jokinen is way overrated, too.

    Final: Boston over San Jose.

Worked out well for Quebec er . . . Colorado. They at least one a couple cups with the pieces from the deal. Philly struck out.
