What's the Central? I didn't think that division mattered.

I thought Alex Rios was playing all three OF spots at once next season for the White Sox?

    Shut up.

As for the Teahen trade, if he does replace Dye, that's not much of a tradeoff, although if he's the main utility/bench guy, that's great.

Angels' offseason gets off to a good start: Bobby Abreu re-signed for two years plus an option:

Agreed. What are they doing with Podsednik and Thome? Teahen is fine if he is going to play a utility role, he is not a comparable replacement for Dye.

Thome's a free agent, I believe, and finished the season with the Dodgers.

Ugh. My bad. Wasn't even thinking there. Utter fail by me.

    What about Pods?

I assume Pods won't be resigned. Hopefully they resign Dye, put Teahan at 3rd and move Beckham to the middle infield.

Red Sox get Jeremy Hermida from the Marlins for two lefty pitchers, one who was a rookie in 2009 (Hunter Jones) and another who is deep in the minors (Jose Alvarez):

I suppose this means the Red Sox don't like their chances of re-signing Jason Bay. Hermida was very much an underachiever with the Fish even when he was healthy, but the guy was a major prospect a few years ago. Very similar skill set to Kevin Youkilis as a hitter.
