At least for their sake the Coyotes bounced back quickly.

And then of course took a bad penalty and gave up another one.

 

If there's anyone I'm rooting for right now, it's Shane Doan.

That guy deserves a good playoff run.

 

Wow, the Devils, Penguins and Red Wings -- and now Sharks -- all go down on the first night.

Could the Capitals and Blackhawks go down tomorrow?

That was such a satisfying night.

 

Good to see Marleau, Heatley and Thornton have learned from their gold medal win with Canada.

 

Let's hope so, just for drama's sake.

 

Yes, it was a tradition that carried over. They also did in back in 2002 and whenever else they were in the playoffs way back there. I know, not the same effect, but still. They aren't the only ones who do that. Pittsburgh does and maybe others.

 

I realize that one game does not a series make, but this cannot be good for the Sharks. Those guys will be so tight you could shove a lump of coal up their asses and have a diamond by the time the series is done.

 

My thought WFW as soon as Canada won the gold. We know now they can produce in a big game, so the litany of excuses they've cited chapter and verse after being KO'ed the last four years won't cut it any more.

Either that, or the Sharks should sell an add on the dasherboards to PetSmart, to make it easier for them to model the newest choke chains, year after year?
