It's entirely possible that we're going to see mega-showdowns Chicago-Detroit and Washington-Pittsburgh ... in the second round.

I know what you mean. The Pens going through the Caps, silencing what had been a rowdy Game 7 crowd at the Verizon Center, made that run to the Stanley Cup all the more memorable. ;D

No doubt. It's an incredible rivalry. Personally, I'd like to see the Caps go through the Pens on the way to the Cup. Then again, I'm not a die-hard fan. Maybe they feel differently.

Yeah. Part of me wants to. Part of me hopes the Caps don't pull something stupid and fall behind 3-1 in the first round like last year. I'm not taking anything for granted.

I'm hardly a big enough NHL guru to bother making predictions. So, I'll force you to sit through my I-don't-know-who-to-root-for complaint:
If the Blue Jackets were in it, I'd be rooting for them. Without them, though, I'm torn. Usually Pittsburgh is my go-to team for the playoffs. But ... I'm a big Brian Elliott fan. So, it's a tougher call this year.

Yeah, that's it. Back to your regularly scheduled programing :)

You've go as just a good as chance as anyone else around here.

Flip a coin for each series. That should do it

Fleury looks like crap right now.

Hard to blame him much on the third goal, other than that he should have gotten back into the net faster. But all three of Ottawa's goals so far have had some oddness to them.

Fleury aside, is there a specific reason why Ottawa is being able to have success tonight?
