Oh, god. Steinbrenner is throwing the first pitch.

EDIT: Nevermind. He just sat out there to wave to the crowd.

Nah, this time the ceremony was worth every last moment.

Anyone have an idea on how much a flyby costs? Good to see Crow run long causing the plane to fly overhead too early.

Also, the ceremony is the best part of the game.

  6. It got dusty in this Chili's. Dude, gonna be a fun night. I only wish Bobby Murcer could have been there.

    Dear FOX,

Did you see the move CBS made the other day? You should follow suit.

How much you wanna bet that Morgan wasn't a part of it because Sandberg was? There's no excuse for Joe, it's not like he wasn't at the Stadium last night or anything. Bench is kind of a surprise.

Other notables missing: Sparky Anderson, Jim Bunning, Bobby Doerr, Carlton Fisk, George Kell, Sandy Koufax, Stan Musial, Nolan Ryan, Red Schoedenist, Duke Snider and Carl Yastrzemski.

Maybe not so surprising at the Red Sox names.

Exactly zero Hall of Famers wearing Red Sox hats on the field at Yankee Stadium.

    I was one post late

I was hoping George would get out of the cart, stand in front of his fans, and raise his hand. Sure, just about everyone across baseball despises him, but it would have been a great moment.

Say what you want about him, but he gave everything to that city. Would have been a real special moment.
