Well that makes up for a little bit of the boneheaded play, Mr. Soriano!

Not really. A broken clock is still right twice a day.

Izzy gets booed off the mound in St. Louis!

Freaky: The ninth inning of last night's Cubs game started with the home team leading 3-1 and a hit batsman. Same thing tonight. I hope the rest is the same as well.

I'd like to point out that I called the Soriano HR when Ward was out the plate.

Let me also go out on a 15-foot wide limb and say that Soriano will also get plunked tomorrow for having the audacity to show emotion after hitting a game-tying homer. No emotion is allowed when Tony "Unwritten Rules" La Russa is in the house. He's smarter than all of us, you know.

That's why he's smart enough to bat his pitcher eighth, right?

The Cubs will lose this game. If they win, I won't post for a month.

Red Sox are bringing the Rays back to earth with a bit of a bump.

Not that Tampa Bay has helped itself, two runners thrown out at the plate.

Edwin Jackson's made some strides, but he's still pretty inconsistent--87 pitches over four tonight.
