    The Associated Press

TAHOE It's been a good year to be a bitter young hack.
After taking over the lead as the most prolific poster, BYH jumped out to an early lead and held on to win the 2007 SportsJournalists.com March Madness championship 87-77.
BYH (33-1) jumped out to an early 22-7 run, as sportschick looked intimidated in the championship game atmosphere. Sportschick did put a rally together to open the second half, cutting BYH's lead to 54-51, but BYH responded with 10 points in 8 seconds to blow the game open.

Just like AP, a bunch of fucking errors. My bad, though I thought time was always written in numericals.

Don't forget to run it through the Trentonian so 3 people can check off on it.

But do it by 11 p.m. or the SE won't be around to proof it.

I am of the same belief system as the New York Times: numbers ought to be numbers in print, as in ... Jeff Gaspacho scored 9 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. I know it's not AP style, but it's my style, and that's how I do it at my paper. It's not eight minutes and 15 seconds, it's 8 minutes and 15 seconds. I don't like seeing numbers spelled out.

So when does BYH play the NIT winner which seems to be Jones. This year's NIT was like that of the early days when it actually mattered. I don't think BYH could handle the king of Canuckistan.

Thank you, buckweaver. You can work on my staff any time you want. I wish I could convert the masses. The AP stylebook is archaic. If nothing else, there should be a sports stylebook. My first rule would be: write numbers as numbers.

I've found that most sports departments have their own style, anyway ...
