As suggested by another poster, we should have an SportsJournalists.com March Madness. Since I have a lot of free time on my hands presently I present the brackets. Vote for winners of each game based on whatever criteria you feel necessary. Voting for the first round closes Sunday at midnight CST - because that is what time I am on.

    Some observations:
--In the West, the Oz-Sam Mills matchup would not be fun for fans, as no alcohol would be allowed.
--BYH has the toughest opening matchup among the top seeds. BYH loses on a crucial eight-second violation.
    --Ace-Benedict is a Final Four-quality matchup.
--Hack vs. Hack in the North. Well played.
--Major missed opportunities, not having A-F or Columbo as the eighth seed as a possible second-round opponent for BYH. Two of the biggest rivalries on the board.
--spnited vs. spaceman: two teams full of 50th-year seniors.
--Yes, you do have a lot of free time on your hands.

No offense, but I'm rejecting the invitation so I can play in the NIT. They would never dis me with a 13 seed.

That fucking rocks, Angola! And for the record, BYH vs. Frank_Ridgeway has got to be the most evenly matched 1 vs. 16 since Goliath vs. David. :D

So, picking by favorite mascots like the advertising whore who is bound to win my office pool again this year, I'll start the bidding:

By picking Gold, are you saying that 21 doesn't have any tits?

Though I am up against Cosmo, who is a tough challenge, I am glad someone thought I was capable of an upset.

At least I made the tournament field. That itself is an honor.

P.S. Frank_Ridgeway is far from a 16 seed. Dude brings quality game each time he posts.

Since I didn't make it to the big dance I can only hope an NIT invite awaits

Some tough 1st round matchups, especially Buck/Lugnuts and Moderator1/Ragu.

I'm honored to earn a spot in the field, especially with an 11 seed. Watch out Slappy!

Is there going to be SportsJournalists.com NIT and when will that field be announced?

Why was there no play-in game for the SportsJournalists.com tournament? :)
