20 years after Kevin Carter, the vulture and the girl

Sad story coming up on 20 years.

Carter won the Pulitzer for the haunting photo of a vulture waiting for a 6-year-old Sudanese girl to starve out. Days after receiving the award he killed himself.

How much atrocity can your system take? Would you want to be a photojournalist?

Sad to read but thanks for the link.

I watched a doc about a month ago and one of Mr. Carter's colleagues addressed the suicide. I can't remember the reporter's name but he himself was fighting mental issues. No doubt in my mind it was some sort of PTSD. All I remember was he had been, or was, with a Toronto newspaper.
