Gatehouse and Gannett have been the most prominent buyers lately. It will be interesting to see how this company does. The article says they eschew centralization. Is this true?

Per the link, terms weren't announced, but I do hope the new member has enough in reserve to buy beer.

I hear they're going to institute a new dress code:

I hope their workers AIM well in the restroom. That'll save a custodial paycheck.

Instant messaging seems to be an even more dated media than newspapers, but good luck to AIM following its purchase.

Awesome news for the sports department. Got to think that will move the deadlines up by at least 90 minutes.

Nice of them to offer jobs to the laid off press employees, though Greenfield Indiana is about as close to Lima as Chicago.

Love how the press conveniently broke down within days of the purchase.

According to my Google Maps it is 158 miles from Lima to Greenfield. I use the distance from the address of the newspaper office in each city. To my knowledge the longest haul is Sacramento to Fresno which is 167 miles.
