    Tell me what to purchase.

No Thin Lizzy or Pantera needed.

    No rap wanted.

    Go!

If you want to go with individual songs instead of getting 1-2 albums, here are some of my favorites from 2012 (with accompanying links so you can try them out):

"Love is Blindness" - Jack White (best cover I've heard in a really long time)

    "Hold On" - Alabama Shakes

    "Birmingham" - Shovels & Rope

    "Yet Again" - Grizzly Bear

"Tear it Up" - Delta Spirit

"When My Train Pulls In" - Gary Clark, Jr. (The three minute guitar solo at the end is phenomenal)

"Travis County" - Gary Clark, Jr. (a second one from him because I think you'll really like him)

"Dirty Paws" - Of Monsters and Men

I have plenty of others, but I'll go with those for now.

I don't believe that version of White's album comes with his cover of Love is Blindness (posted above). Check it out. It's my favorite song from my second favorite album of the year.

Thanks, dre. I usually buy singles just because it makes for a more interesting "trip" to the iTunes store. I'm especially interested in checking out Clark, whose name keeps coming up.

Here's my favorite video of him live:
. I like that song, but didn't recommend it because it's about 3 minutes shorter on the album and not as good without the long guitar solo added in.

I like to target great, underplayed non-singles. Some of the greatest album tracks in music history:

"Memory Lane (Sittin' in da Park)"
    "Things Done Changed"
    "Incarcerated Scarfaces"
    "Releasing Hypnotical Gasses"
"In My Own World (Check the Method)"
    "Living in the World Today"
    "Guess Who"
    "Etc."
    "Bad Touch Example"

    You're welcome.

    Amen.

Giving iPad time as a reward was how we got the little one potty trained so quickly.

We're literally training kids to use their phones on the toilet now?
