Kaymer's not playing badly. He might be worth a little flutter at 50-1.

I'll take a small shot at Beef Johnston at 300-1.
People would be deliriously happy (me included) if he won it.

Bullshit. A lot of guys said that. Dan Jenkins tweeted it.

I really like Westwood at 50-1. He's played well in majors this year. If he's going to get one, you'd think it would be soon ...

Woke up in a haze. Watched Bubba triple the postage stamp. Prayed for Ted Scott. Rolled over, went back to sleep for 20 minutes.

Lots of red on the leaderboard. Wait until the weather changes.

Spieth couldn't putt worth a damn today, which is a departure. Troon's a course where getting up is the hard part but it should be relatively easy to hole out.

O say, can you see all the Americans at the top of the British Open leaderboard? How about Phil at 4-under through eight?

Patrick Reed, Justin Thomas and a whole lot of LPCP atop the leaderboard right now...

Also, I'm at our State Open, and someone has piped in the audio from the BBC radio broadcast into the media room. It's out-freaking-standing.

Could be a great week for the Americans, which will set up nicely for another Euro rout at the Ryder Cup.

  12. +2 thru 13 in 102nd place.

FWIW ... I would have looked at him at 50-1 as well.
