Maybe it's the former Iowan in me, but I'm pulling for Zach Johnson, who's tied for second at 3-under through 12 holes today.

Of course, that's currently eight shots behind McIlroy ...

Damn, -11. At the rate he's going, he'll be able to shoot 81 on Sunday and still win.

Meanwhile, Phil is -3 for the day and back to even par.

Cut line looking like it's going to be plus-3 right now.

This is a clinic, 2000-esque. Has a putt to become the first player in the 111 U.S. Opens to get to 13 under.

Rory is making Congressional look like the Bob Hope Invitational.

If you would have told me that someone could be at 130 by the weekend, I would have said that there is not a way in hell.

I love this tournament, except for the occasional drop-ins from the fucker Berman.

The clown at the circus who bounces out of the Volkswagen and sprays everyone with seltzer water. Terrible.

    Wow. McIlroy to -13.

Yeah. He could play the 18th blindfolded and still par it.

    Dude's riding lightning right now.

Birdie ties Johnny Miller for low round in an open (63; -8).

I have never wanted someone to hole out from a fairway so bad in my life right now.

Ok; Does McIlroy go ballistic on the weekend to get to an unheard of -20, or let everyone else back in with a Roy McAvoy-esque 83?
