DB improvements; unfortunately will knock out your "message read" indicators

    Tonight through this weekend I'll be working on the database a bit.

    Currently when multiple users request data from the same table, they have to wait their turn because the database locks the entire table for each query. I'm changing several tables so that the database only locks an individual row for each query... you should see faster site response times.

    Unfortunately, in order to do this without massive site downtime, I have to reset the message read indicators. My apologies. :'(

    At least you now have plenty to read...

    Later tonight I will also be taking the site down for a bit to backup the database.
