    Adam Carolla is a good one.
    From Southern California white trash, to bit parts on a radio morning show, to getting his break with a couple of cable shows, back to hosting a radio morning show, having it canceled, and then picking himself up to basically become the driving force behind the podcasting industry and a multimillionaire.

    I was playing an audio clip of George Carlin's take on irony in class. One of the students pointed out he is the "Thomas the Tank Engine guy." I never really put it together that the guy who gave us the seven words, basically ended his career narrating a kids show.
