CHARDON, Ohio (AP) — A gunman opened fire inside a high school cafeteria at the start of the school day Monday, killing one student and wounding four others, authorities said. A suspect — believed to be a student — was arrested a short distance away.
The suspect was taken into custody near his car a half-mile from the suburban Cleveland school, the FBI said.

Glad they got the guy alive. It will be interesting to see what sort of bullying (if indeed that is the case) pushed him to this extreme.

That's an incredibly large, unsupported assumption.

Not really suburban Cleveland. It's a small town 30 miles east of downtown Cleveland and surrounded by farmland. Around 12 miles from the outskirts of the real eastern suburbs of Cleveland. About 1,100 in the school.

Initial reports indicate that the dude was mad someone was dating his ex-gf. He supposedly posted a pic of himself with guns and a sign saying this was coming up today on his Twitter account last night.

Depending on who is spelling it, name of kid who died is either exact same or one letter off of name of kid shot and killed at Northern Illinois University in Feb. 2008.

Pic of kid with guns going around is not the shooter.

Rick, CBS Radio has reported on their news now that students have said that the shooter was an outcast and was reportedly bullied.

Students are always going to say that. And reporters are always going to ask questions that get students to say that. It's the default explanation.

So many details to come out on this, but if someone wants to go to a school and kill someone with a gun, the only question to ask is how many people will be hurt or killed.

That's a terrifying thing to think about, but it's the honest truth.

The early reports were that the Columbine punks were bullied and that was slowly proven to be false. The one kid was crazier than a shithouse rat.

Do you think he should be tried as a juvenile or an adult?

There's a possibility the kid's dad had a checkered criminal past. Saw some court records for a person at the home address the cops are searching. Attempted murder, kidnapping, assault charges from back in 2002.

Not sure what the law is in Ohio, but usually there are certain crimes (murder being one of them) in which juveniles (of at least some age) are automatically tried as adults.
