    Bah. Dude, I’m largely talking about people I’ve first met who I ended up dating and even married. Women who maybe wanted to take it slow. Them rejecting my advance is not attempted sexual assault. Gimme a break

    No. But it's an interesting hypothetical. Am I guilty of attempted sexual assault if I try to kiss my wife and she turns away? Is she guilty of it if she attempts to kiss me and I turn away?

    The answer isn't clear.

    Well, of course it's never going to be prosecuted.

    But it's not clear to me that it's not, technically, attempted sexual assault.
