    Appropriate, we go to overtime.

No doubt about it. Especially since Tom Dundon was stupid enough to pull his offer.

This is one place I don't have to urge anyone to think about it. Think Ronnie knows Rod, knows the organization in Raleigh and has familiarity with Dundon?

Unless Dundon makes abundantly clear that an offer will be there immediately following the end of the Carolina Hurricanes' season, this has FAFO written all over it. And if you need a reminder of the biggest catalyst to the organization's turnaround the last six seasons ... not to mention the GM who identified the foundational players to whom the on-ice success can be credited.

The Stars host Game 7 but home ice doesn't matter in this series. Vegas got the dawg in them.

Such a Leafs was to lose it, crazy bounce off the boards right to the guy sailing in uncovered.

It was actually the truest bounce you could hope for. Lindholm shot it straight at the corner and it bounced back just as straight, right onto Pasta's stick. If it bounced any other way, that would have been a crazy bounce. Rielly was the culprit who let Pasta go in alone.

I’d say there’s more to it than saying Rielly was the culprit. It was the combination of a well-executed set play (I assume), a good bounce, and Marner getting caught puck watching and doing nothing to slow Pastrnak up.

Rielly was maybe a bit out of position but with his partner being sucked wide by Geekie he kind of had to cheat to the middle.

Dundon has to know the optics of letting RBA leave would be bad. Rumors I'm seeing revolve around RBA wanting better deals for the assistants and other staff members and maybe that's where the disconnect is. Dundon has had the ruthlessness (and money) to drag the franchise and market into the 21st century so it's gonna be interesting to see how he handles another tough decision with a fan favorite after the John Forslund/Chuck Kaiton situations. How the playoffs end will obviously factor in.

If RBA were to win a cup as a player and coach he'd be closing in on K/Dean Smith/Valvano territory for the Triangle.
