Regionals are underway. UMass and Denver in OT in the Springfield Regional.

Cornell-Maine to follow, and I am an ECAC guy.

This is like heaven. I am done for the day. I have off tomorrow (mostly) b/c of Good Friday. Flipping b/w college hockey and Yankeese opening day right now, and then have Rangers in Colorado tonight.

Nice of the NCAA to give a No. 4 regional seed a home regional.

Go Denver. Unless they meet Cornell next round.

BU-RIT playing in South Dakota. You'd think BU would handle them easily, but they play the games for a reason.

    Go Gophers, etc.

Simple bracket for me to cheer this season.

Go Gophers in the regional final! ... although, I'd root against BU if they were playing the Soviet Red Army team.

BC is easily the best team in the country, BU is probably second. Macklin Celebrini is likely going to be the top pick in the NHL draft and they are stacked beyond him. I don't know Minnesota as well, but I know they are stacked too. Jimmy Snuggerud, Oliver Moore. ... and my guy Jonny Brodzinski's kid brother. It should be a really good game, I think.

One of my (several, abandoned) alma maters won the women's title last week.

Never discount Minnesota - or North Dakota - in the big tournaments.

But agree that BC and BU look semi-insurmountable.

Will hold Cornell in my heart throughout.

Bounced back and forth between this game and MLB openers. Denver's goaltender (Davis, I think) was outstanding. 45 saves, IIRC.

IIRC, Snuggerud was a first-round pick of St. Louis a couple of years ago.
