I told an Angels fan friend that I'd like nothing more than for Rendon to prove everyone wrong, but he doesn't appear to have the "I'll show you" mentality" and seems perfectly content to suck.

Mr. Corbin Burnes is a bit nasty.

Cardinals start the first inning like last season ended: sucking. Dow 2-0 vs the Dodgers after one.

Gosh I’m glad the Cardinals didn’t waste any money on pitching this year.

Burnes leaves after six; Trout's HR was the sum of the Angels' offense. 1 hit, 11 Ks.

Considering the White Sox threw a young reliever making his first career start on the mound for Opening Day, he’s done quite well.

Garrett Crochet has stitched together (sorry!) six innings of solid pitching, allowing a sacrifice fly and five hits to Detroit with eight strikeouts.

Of course the White Sox have only three hits and no runs themselves. Get used to it, kid!

The Tigers-Sox game is on pace for less than two hours.

    EDIT: 2:03

I think Sandoval is a head case, like CJ Wilson. Those guys "think" themselves right out of the game.

Conversely, Logan Webb throws 100 in his first start, goes 6 strong with only 2 ERs resulting from some serious weak flares and yet the Giants BP can't hold the 3-2 lead. BTW, that $100M CF Lee looks like a legit leadoff hitter and smooth CF.
