We don't know, but most likely they would not have been as severe. Do some reading about second impact syndrome.

No one knows, at the very least he probably still would have had a concussion and that doesn't change any of the other health concerns out there. Also, it did happen how it happened following a similar injury and that still makes this a pretty terrible situation.

Damn how does someone make a “mistake” of this magnitude? He/she’s gone from the practice hopefully.

This, of course, is where it gets sticky. Is he terrible at his job? Or is he "unaffiliated" in the same manner that team physicians are supposedly looking after the best interest of players?

I haven't seen much information about these people, whether they are really free from influence by the team. My first thought was that this was the league's scapegoat, but it was the NFLPA that called for him to be fired. Clearly, that is what the Dolphins are angling to do here. They are saying they wouldn't have played him if they thought he had a concussion. I'm just not buying that.

In other injured QB news, Jameis Winston won't play for the Saints in Sunday's London games vs. the Vikings. So, if you can believe it, we get to share another Sunday with Andy Dalton.
