I vouch for this. Patrick O'Neal (his mom is Leigh Taylor Young, not Farrah Fawcett) is awful. He considers himself an expert now, even when Gubizca has to correct him. "Gubi, we got a four-seam fastball comin?" "No, probably a changeup." At the beginning of the season, it seemed like he was just happy to be there. Now, he is part of the team: we, we, we, we.

I'd pick her too but probably that first team for its fighting lovable spirit.

    Still the best baseball movie.

A fun sub-thread, all-time fictional baseball team. Rotation of Amanda Whurlizer (BNB), Nuke LaLoosh (Bull Durham), Billy Chapel (For the Love of the Game) and Chico "Brushback" Orazco from the little seen Blue Skies Again. No question that Wild Thing is the closer.

Roy Hobbs before the shooting, Steve Nebraska from The Scout. and Sammy Bodeen from Talent for the Game would all be options, too.

Harris and Vaughn help the Braves undo the damage they incurred last week in NYC.
The future remains bright in the (northern suburbs of the) ATL.

Oh hell, I just realized we can grab about five Hall of Famers and a couple of all-stars from "Little Big League" alone.

Eddie Harris and his Snot Ball and Vaseline Ball is the fifth starter. The Duke is the setup man to Ricky Vaughn. Henry Rowengartner and Kit Keller fill out the bullpen.

Jake Taylor is the catcher, backed up by Crash Davis and Dottie Hinson.

    Clu Heywood is at first.

Marla Hooch is at second base.

Tanner Boyle is at shortstop. Benny (The Jet) Rodriguez is utility man.

    Roger Dorn at third.

    Roy Hobbs in right field.

Willie Mays Hayes in center field.

    Kelly Leak in left.

Bump Bailey can be the fourth outfielder.

No room for Jamie Don Weeks, Stud Cantrell or Jose Louis Brown?
