One thing about Gavrilita, and Moldova in general. ... they have acted in a very principled way. It's a very poor country and their entire energy supply is controlled by Putin. But when he invaded, she immediately condemned it and opened their border to refugees. Not surprisingly, she ran in the first place entirely on a platform of tackling the endemic corruption in that country and creating closer ties with Europe and the U.S. She's cut from the same cloth as Zelensky in Ukraine. ... Ukraine is its own country with heavy Russian influences. Moldova is like that with Romania. And they both went into politics because the countries were corrupt beyond belief. Often those people are feckless if they actually get power, or once they get that power they don't follow through on reforms. Those two seem to be pretty principled people which is something you don't see with politicians (even democratically elected ones) in most places.

I just saw a story said that Russia has taken 75,000 casualties in Ukraine.
Surely at some point, the Russian people are going to want to know why Putin's cake walk humanitarian mission has caused so many sons not to return home.
