    "One if by land

    And two if by sea

And Hawley in the Senate chamber will be

Ready to skedaddle and spread the alarm

To every troll and Russian Bot farm"

I heard Hawley was on the air with Tucker Carlson when that video was shown. I would have paid to see/hear his reaction in real time.

Although I acknowledge Fox News wasn't showing any of it.

Also possible: they said some very unflattering things about some politicians (Trump or others) in messages to each other and don’t really want that out there. Or: there might be some things that make them look weak because they were scared - i think that came out a little tonight with the pence crew calling their loved ones because they thought they might be about to die. (I personally don’t think that makes them look weak, but they might think that.).

This was not boring. It was amazing and well done.

Funny, when they ran video/audio of Pence's protective unit evacuating him there seemed to be no issues with redacting such references.

Very interesting that the Trumpist USSS officials have retained their own counsel. That suggests to me that they're trying to protect more than texts that speak to general process or procedure, which the internal lawyers would handle. Things might be a little more severe than some Trump apologists are willing to admit.

It certainly did pick up the pace.
CNN had John Dean and George Conway, who desperately needs a haircut, on after the main show. Dean said they haven't made a case for seditious conspiracy, but Conway said they've made a case for interference with Congressional action or some such thing. He quoted the chapter and verse of the US Code. I remain skeptical.

"For, borne on the night-wind of the Past,
Through all our history, to the last,
In the hour of darkness and peril and need,
The people will waken and tune in to see
The fleeing footsteps, his pants he had peed,
The Jan. 6 skedaddle of Senator Hawley."
