Closing round of 64, and absolutely great putting. Cheesy haircut, but great playing.

If Cam Young figures out his irons he will be a great player. Guy is long off the tee and can putt. He mis-hit his second shot on 16, I think, from forcing a playoff. He's only 25 and finished top 3 in two of the majors (granted he missed the cut at Augusta and the US Open)

The second Rory's chip missed I switched off the set. I'm sorry for McIlroy, but I can't take NBC another second. It's not supposed to be "the human MELODRAMA of athletic competition," but that's the NBC way.

 

My favorite golf tournaments are when someone just takes that shit. Really wanted Rory to win. He didn't do anything egregious to not win, Cam Smith just came out Sunday and took that shit.

 

Remember yesterday when Smith took the shot with the club at chest level and the announcers were aghast he would do that with his tournament on the line? Guess it worked out ok.

 

It did but that was still a dumb play.

 

If I were NBC I’d go with Koch and Fehrety

 

It was but even yesterday I was thinking it was day three and he was still a few birdies from being in contention. The level of pearl clothing seemed a little much.

But that was a dumb shot.
