Weird thing is - he popped up in one scene of a Robert Conrad TV movie set at a military school, playing a dad who was having a tough time in the market and couldn't afford to send his daughter to a better private school. Even weirder? Dennis Farina played another dad in the scene. Probably two of the best three known actors in the film, aside from Conrad. Though Casey Siemasko and Alan Ruck were also in it.

Why was he calling his wife instead of AAA or the police?

Still a lot of questions. Where was Haskins' car found? The Herald story says his wife gave his location as a different road, not the interstate. Were there any gas stations nearby? The FHP says the dump truck was in the center lane and struck him on its left side, meaning Haskins was closer to the median than the shoulder. Why was he crossing the interstate?

Either the wife was getting him away from some bad influences, or she was squeezing for the juice too. The whole thing is bizarre.

Taxpayer-funded facilities, services and emergency responders involved? You bet it's the public's business.

I think he meant the thing with the parents, not the collision that killed Haskins.
