Another classic Fred Ward movie filled with other awesome actors of his generation-Southern Comfort.

Fred Ward might have been the king of movies not well promoted for the theaters that absolutely killed it at the video store. Remo, Miami, Blues, Tremors - even the Right Stuff didn't make back its budget in the theaters. But they are all great movies that stand up.

Absolutely loved his and Kevin Bacon's work as Val and Earl in Tremors. May have to watch it this weekend in tribute.

    Well . . . Gus isn't so bad . . . OK, you can be Gus.

One of my favorite movie lines ever.

Keep the Ward/Grissom lines coming. Enjoying them. What was the one at Pancho's where Gus Grissom asks what astronaut means? Star Voyager?

I respected Ward's work, even in The Right Stuff, but as John Dean said about the film version of All the President's Men: good drama, terrible history. Especially the way Grissom was portrayed.
