Well, yeah. We're in winter (meteorologically speaking).

Never, ever, ever, ever complain about rain and snow (sorry Moddy). Moisture is our friend.

We haven't had a killing freeze yet (yes, it's December) and a lot of trees are still green, in particular the ash trees that got decimated in last February's freeze but sprouted new branches. Bradford pears are just now turning color.

We've been coolish and our trees are pretty much bare. But moisture? Nada.

The study looks out 30-50 years, but there are current impacts.

Due to rising temperatures, the region has already lost 20 percent of its snowpack since the 1950s. That’s enough water to fill Lake Mead, the nation’s largest human-made reservoir.

Lake Mead has pretty much become the biggest hole in the ground after the Grand Canyon.

Just anecdotal, but here in northern NJ just saw a rosebush in bloom, a dandelion, and trees still with all their (changed) leaves. Also, not all robins migrate, but that's been going on for several years.

I killed a mosquito today, Dec 5. It was 77 degrees. Miserable for deer hunting.

Did you tie the mosquito to the hood of your car?

Had to field dress it first.
