Sportswriter Wanted For Notre Dame Website And Publication

    Seeking a sports reporter to cover football and other sports for BlueandGold.com and Blue & Gold Illustrated, a website and publication covering athletics at the University of Notre Dame. Duties include breaking news, writing articles and columns, covering all football games and press conferences, covering basketball games, compiling notes, interacting on message boards, and appearing on radio shows and podcasts.

    Requirements include previous newspaper or website writing experience, attention to detail, strong work ethic, a desire to learn and the ability to work under deadlines. Knowledge of and passion for Notre Dame sports is a plus. Competitive salary. Will need to live in the South Bend area.

    Probably more like a recent Notre Dame grad ... which would pretty much amount to the same thing ... :D

    F-T gig on a Rivals.com team website probably doesn't pay awful. You will do a shit ton of work, but I've been offered FT gigs at a few Rivals-based sites in the early part of last decade and the pay was never an issue...just no desire to live in a college town.

    I don't look at "passion" as a bad thing in a job ... though I guess hating ND football with a passion isn't what the OP is looking for.
