The Houston Chronicle is hiring a reporter to cover the Texans. The job requires the daily news reporting that comes with a beat and breaking the stories that count. It also requires the ability to capture the bigger picture, trends/analysis, feature writing and handling the tough story. Our goal is to attract digital readers through our news and retain them as subscribers with in-depth content that they can’t find elsewhere. The reporter will also contribute to the Chronicle’s podcasts and television shows. Three to five years of experience on a pro or major college beat is preferred. Please include a resume and three-to-five examples of your work.

This would be to replace Aaron Wilson.

I have no doubt they’ll hire an excellent candidate. I also have no doubt that this is gonna be a tough time to cover that team.

Especially with the Texans' propensity to f things up, the need to have a good reporter is key
