"Forget, if you will, those 81 million votes for a candidate whose campaign promises no one agreed with ... forget that voters from Georgia and Arizona threw out three incumbent senators ... "

McConnell is a hypocrite. He won't acknowledge it, but he does not care if people catch him being a hypocrite. He wants one set of rules for Republicans and another set for Democrats, and he will keep playing the game that way as long as he gets away with it.

Mitch isn't even a hypocrite. He's a nihilist. It's all just bullshit to him. When he has the votes, he gloats. When he doesn't, he whines. It's the Republican attitude to the max. Horrible winners, even worse losers. Just shit people, basically.

Every presidential cycle there is an increasing number of primary candidates who don't make it to November. And this Republican crop (DeSantis, Scott, Pompeo, Pence, Haley et. al) are going to debase themselves at the altar of Trumpism and it won't work for most of them, or any of them if King Don enters the race. Most/all of them will be shut out after lavishly praising a candidate, who at this absolute peak of popularity, failed to get 47 percent of the vote.

I don't recall any of last cycle's Dem candidates (Biden included) praising Obama as much as the GOP praises Trump and 44 won the popular vote twice and the electoral vote twice.

I suspect it was because of his depression after leaving the W.H. He may eat when he is riding high, thinking his shit don't stink and not eat when he is depressed. I do think they go through a bit of that, especially if it is due to losing a race.

    There are two votes
    1) Yes or no on recall?
    2) If the recall is successful, which candidate from this list do you choose?
