Please allow me to interject my feelings about Mother Nature

Pro tip - don't do it in bare feet.

 

I just saw a FB video where half a dozen guys declare an impromptu Polar Bear Club, and one behind the other jumped off the diving board and into the pool. The pool is ringed by sane men, their own wives and their kids, all laughing at them. It's maybe 25 degrees.

 

There's a guy who runs sprints shirtless, in bike shorts a couple of streets over. Been doing it for a couple of years now.

I wondered if he'd be out doing his sprints in this weather.

There he was over the weekend, doing his sprints when I drove by. Shirtless, bike shorts and sunglasses.

Air temp at the time was nine below.

 

I ain't lost anything out there. Nope.

 

My district does both texts and a robocall. Which would be OK, if they didn’t come at 5:15 a.m.

 

We have so many faucets dripping at our house that it sounds like we are living in a wet cave.

 

I went for a walk earlier. It was 10 degrees. Three layers on the bottom, four up top. I honestly don't know how y'all way up north handle this regularly.

 

It was 35 degrees and sunny, which meant going out to the mailbox without a jacket on wasn't as dumb an idea as it seemed. However, the wind is picking up and it's already in the 20s tonight.
