I think the NHL regular season will conclude with some significant differences in games played amongst teams. The divisional play this year makes that a little more palatable, in my opinion.

US teams may have to tighten up their protocols. Washington game tonight postponed.

I like the Hextall hire, Burke just conned another team with his bullshit.

Old boys network in full effect.

He’s also conned the media and the league.

I’m stunned Burke got another gig. Sounds like it will in part, allow Hextall to function without having to to media/PR.

I grew tired of his act years ago.

Starting to think there's no way we get through this season without a full-on pause at some point.

And please take this as a legit question, my Caps' fanboyism aside: Why was last night's game postponed with only two Flyers testing positive while the Caps were forced to play with upwards of five players out on the COVID list at once? Seems like the protocols are all over the map. I'm not even angry about it, just genuinely curious to the thinking there.

I asked that on Twitter yesterday and someone said it was basically an F you to the Caps - they got fined 100K for violating protocols and were told deal with it. But I don't know how seriously to take that.

I don't think there has been one game postponed in the all-Canadian division, right?

Pure speculation and going off some of what the NFL did, is it because the Caps’ situation wasn’t based on actual exposure, and was just a discipline issue? I’m assuming the Flyers’ situation is based on actual confirmed cases or positive tests.

The postponements are wreaking havoc with my pool, which plays a weekly matchup formula.

I’m really only closely following the Canadian division right now. There are some good storylines, positive and negative, and with the condensed schedule it all happens in a hurry.

Pains me to say it but Auston Matthews has jumped a level this year. Looks like it is in large part due to conditioning.

    None.

I think that the end of season standings will be determined by points percentage. Teams are missing too many games.
