    Gene Hackman turned 91 on Jan. 30.
    Holy cow.
    We have enough RIP threads.
    Here's to one of the greats who is still alive.

    It is still a crime that his last role was Welcome to Mooseport. No disrespect for Christopher Plummer or Bruce Dern, but Hackman could have had a good half of the roles that they crushed in the last 15 years if he chose to.

    And even in kind of a throwaway flick like Mooseport, Hackman did his damndest to make it watchable. Cast someone better than Ray Romano for the co-lead and it could have worked.
