And the argument gets bogged down in the semantics of whether or not the amendments “rewrite” the constitution (of course they do).
But the real argument should be: she’s fucking nuts, who does she think is going to “rewrite the constitution?
That’s like the argument I get from my friend: if Biden gets in he’s going to ruin the country, it will be him and nancy pelosi ripping everything apart that makes us great (she really means the brown people will be in charge.) but she’s not racist, she grew up around black people.
These people really believe the democrats are going to drastically change the country. Nevermind that pelosi has already been speaker with a democratic senate and obama. The country wasn’t harmed.
But that’s the point we’re at, because they see the demographic changes in the country, the republicans will never control the house again unless they are able to do more and more drastic gerrymandering (which is also why they want to keep census numbers down in some areas), which is why they want more federal judges and a republican Supreme Court.
Because the “drastic changes,” The rewrite of the constitution, they are afraid of is actually basically 200 plus years of white power is coming to an end.

Pretty sure the GOP was within one state legislature and a half of being able to call a Constitutional Convention ahead of the 2018 elections.

Biden is also leading among convicted felons who were associated with Trump, but most of them are ineligible to vote.

    Mr. Catholic...

    • Gluttony: Choosing to over-consume food or alcohol. Enjoying a delightful dinner isn’t sinful, but intentionally overeating to the point where you literally get sick to your stomach is. So, too, having an alcoholic beverage now and then (provided that you don’t suffer from alcoholism) is not sinful in the eyes of the Church. But drinking to the point of drunkenness is.

Legitimate eating disorders, such as anorexia and bulimia, aren’t gluttony. They’re medical conditions that require treatment and care. Gluttony is voluntary and merely requires self-control and moderation.

Periodic fasting, restricting the amount of food you eat, and abstinence, avoiding meat or some favorite food, are the best defenses against gluttony.

Sloth: (sometimes called acedia) is laziness — particularly when it concerns prayer and spiritual life. Sloth is always wanting to rest and relax, with no desire or intention of making a sacrifice or doing something for others. It’s an aversion to work — physical, mental, and spiritual.

Also trump has all 7 of those covered, though he is not catholic, or anything for that matter, but you would think the trumper Catholics would see this.

Reuters reporting that TikTok and Wechat downloads will be banned in the U.S. starting Sunday night.

The idiot rejected the Oracle deal -- which was only happening because he was forcing them to do something.

This is an attempt to force ByteDance to give their source code to a U.S. company (i.e. -- Oracle b/c they have decided they like Larry Ellison -- he kisses Trump's ass) on BS national security grounds.

King Stupid makes the rules by whim. There is no free enterprise allowed here anymore.

China was bending on this one. But if they retaliate, we stand way more to lose than China does. If they ban Apple, for example (not likely, b/c it is a huge employer there, but who knows?), the U.S. equity market will have a hissy fit.

Can a lawyer type answer this for me?

I understand that TikTok was trying to work within his nonsense, b/c their business could be irreparably harmed if they are forced to go down in the U.S. for any length of time.

But at this point, what I keep wondering is can they go to a judge and get an injuction that stops this idiocy for the time being? If so, why aren't they doing that?
