That match was a disappointment. Medvedev was all over the place, hit some uncharacteristcally bad shots and made a number of very poor decisions.

Thiem took advantage of it and came up big in the big games and points.

He should finally get that first major title, but -- as I've always told my kids when they asked me who was going to win a game -- that's why they play.

Hey I just happen to disagree. The only guy who I think was denied big time by Fed was Roddick, he would’ve won multiple Wimbledon titles. Kuerten was a clay court specialist; never felt he was a contender at any other major.

Thiem got a different Medvedev than the guy I saw wipe the prior guys out. Didn’t see much of the flat rockets (like Zverev today).
Just saw some highlights of Thiem-Zverev at Aus 2020 and it’s so much better with crowds (obvious I know)

Gotta pull for the one-hand backhand (and what a backhand!). Go Thiem!

Amazing stat of the day -- through 10 games, Azarenka has missed a grand total of three first serves. She's 28 for 31 -- 90 percent. That's unreal.

And Osaka has won just 10 of 25 points on her first serve.

I'm sure the ratings for the men's final will be truly terrible, but it's been a good match.

Holy shit! Kenin just got demolished in Rome by Azarenka, 6-0, 6-0. I didn't see the match, just the score, so I don't know if Kenin is hurt or what. Just seems like a long fall from major champion in January to getting double-bageled in September.

I caught the tail end of the first set. On set point Azarenka had won 23 points --- which means Kenin had not even taken her to deuce. She wasn't just hitting balls long. More like 5-10 feet long.

I just happened upon Andre and Steffi's two kids. Nope, neither one seem the slightest interested in tennis. But they're going to tear up the world anyway.

That's what she was doing in the match she lost at the Open. She looked really sharp up until then -- hitting all her spots dead on. No idea what's up with her.

What’s wrong with Sloane Stephens? Looks like the last place she wants to be is on a tennis court.
